Hoke’s Ramblings

Live-action Robotech (At last!)

by Chris on Sep.09, 2007, under Entertainment

Right *dusts off cobwebs* let’s see if I remember how to use this here bloggy website…

It’s been ages since a post, but finally some news worth mentioning…it seems after decades of speculation, Robotech will finally be coming to the big screen. And it seems we have Tobey Maguire (and probably Transformers) to thank for that.

Just do a search for “maguire robotech” and you’ll see what I mean.

I’m fearful that it’ll be a sorry case of Notstalgia, but I’m prepared to give it a look :)

    It’s aliiive!

Well, considering I already destroyed my childhood memories completely by watching your Macross DVDs while I was sick with chicken pox a couple years back, I’m probably game. I’m not sure about The Maguire though… perhaps he’ll play a minor character that dies horribly in the opening credits. If they could promise me that,I might well be tempted to go and see the movie ;-)

    LOL! Yes, I cannot wait!

speaking of early departures from movies, I think one of my happiest moments in my life was when I watched Executive Decision and Steven Segeal was taken out in the first 1o minutes ;-)

whao! I wish I was in France, then I could be watching the World Cup – although, it may explain why my connection is so flaky lately!

There you go, sir. Seems ip2nation.com updated their database a few months ago without mailing me (or else it was ignored during my blogapathy period). Anyway, you’re safely back in the UK now :)

Well Fletchman, I suppose technically you could be in France pretty easily… hop on the chunnel and a couple hours later you’re there!

Thank the multivarious deities the boks didn’t choke yesterday. It was a close thing, eish.
